Assembling a cot bed

Last month, a few days before our baby daughter was born, we bought a simple cot bed at a large furniture centre. The centre sells reasonably priced, quality stuff and we had bought several furniture items there before. They usually do not assemble their products at the shop, they just give you a box with all parts and some instruction book with detailed information on how to do it on your own. Well, I must say that we bought the cot bed quite cheap so I had nothing against working on it a bit. But as soon as I got down to work, I realised that it was not an easy task at all. There were so many small parts, screws, pin bolts and other details that I thought I would just sit there, helpless, for long hours! What is more, I was perfectly aware that I could not do it any old how, without paying much attention to the details. My child"s safety was the priority. The bed could not be wobbly in any way so I decided to spend some time and do it how it should be done. Finally, my wife looked into the instructions to help me. We somehow managed to assemble the cot bed together, but to be honest, it was really hard work! I guess we should have bought one of those ready-made beds that can be easily ordered online. At least we would have saved a lot of time!
